Estée Lauder is set to launch its Skin Longevity platform, featuring a diverse collective of longevity experts from various fields.
In an announcement Thursday, the beauty brand said the initiative will strive to enlighten and empower consumers, encouraging a reevaluation of their approach to skincare and lifestyle.
The initiative will include Estée Lauder scientists and external experts, who will participate in events, media partnerships, and editorial content.
“The Estée Lauder brand has always been at the forefront of breakthrough skin science,” said Justin Boxford, global brand president of Estée Lauder. “Longevity is one of the fastest growing movements in the beauty and wellness industries, with multi-generational consumer interest in biohacking and age-reversal practices at an all-time high.”
Additionally, the effort aims to shift the conversation away from merely anti-aging toward a focus on visible age reversal, according to the skincare and makeup manufacturer.
“Estée Lauder has been pioneering skin longevity research for more than 15 years, and we already have the proven technology to reveal visible age reversal,” Boxford explained. “We see this as a truly pivotal moment for the brand to disrupt the industry, changing what we know about skin aging and reimagining skincare for the future”
Under this initiative, Estée Lauder also unveiled its groundbreaking SIRTIVITY-LP technology for age reversal.
With 29 patents globally and participation in over 20 scientific conferences, Estée Lauder’s extensive 20-year investigation into sirtuins in skin has led to a product that, as claimed by the brand, not only decelerates but also visibly reverses skin aging.
The beauty brand will kick off 2024 with the launch of the Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond Transformative Brilliance Soft Crème. Infused with SIRTIVITY-LP, the product promises visible age reversal within just 14 days.
Estée Lauder also announced its commitment to backing the Stanford Center on Longevity and its fresh program centered on aesthetics and culture. This collaboration involves research aimed at evaluating perceptions surrounding longevity and vitality.
The beauty giant made a three-year initial pledge to back various research initiatives undertaken by the cross-disciplinary research center. This includes funding New Map of Life post-doctoral fellowships and other projects focused on deepening the understanding of perceptions regarding longevity and vitality.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Stanford Center on Longevity, a leading authority advancing longevity research,” Boxford said. “Through the support of their new Program of Aesthetics & Culture, our goal is to build the data-driven foundation from which to shape the future of aesthetics and extend skin healthspan.”
